Dr Paraecattil is an experienced academic editor with a broad research background in materials engineering, physical and organic chemistry, microscopy, and spectroscopy. His previous research work at the University of Toronto focused the synthesis of colloidal nanomaterials and the study of their optical properties. Through his doctoral and post-doctoral work at the EPFL in Switzerland, he developed his expertise on the synthesis of organic and inorganic semiconductors, the fabrication of optoelectronic devices, and the photophysical characterization of materials. His industrial experience includes work as a research scientist at the Nestlé Research Center in Switzerland, where he investigated the ultrastructure of micro/nanoparticles using electron and optical microscopy.
Dr Paraecattil has published articles as first author in peer-reviewed journals including The Journal of the American Chemical Society and The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters. In addition, he has co-authored research articles in journals such as The Journal of Materials Chemistry A.
Dr Paraecattil has worked as a freelance scientific editor since 2016 and has edited over 300 research papers. He joined the Edanz Group as a freelance editor in 2019.
