Edanz launches Author Academy elearning site for early-career researchers

FUKUOKA, Japan - Edanz Group has launched a free elearning website called the Edanz Author Academy to help early-career researchers learn about the research publication process.

Containing modules on journal selection, ethics, writing, and journal submission and peer review, the Edanz Author Academy offers all the fundamentals of planning, reporting, and publishing a research article according to international best practices. The course's step-by-step approach, quizzes, and use of plain English aim to particularly help research students and researchers who use English as a second or foreign language.

“Edanz is very pleased to release this comprehensive online course to help the international researcher community, and especially authors who do not use English as their first language,” said Edanz CEO Koji Yamashita. "The course was designed after consultation with end users, language and education experts, academics, publishing staff, and Edanz editors who have edited thousands of research manuscripts in all disciplines for researchers from all over the world."

Users who log on directly at the site, with the same registration details as when using the main Edanz Group website, can work through the complete course or choose individual modules. Universities and research institutions are invited to make the course part of their regular researcher training and can contact global@edanzediting.com for more information.

The Edanz Author Academy joins the other free resources and products, including the Edanz Journal Selector tool, as well as paid author services, to assist researchers throughout their publication journey.
